Cozy@Home: Red Bird Day

The sun is shining on fresh blanket of snow around these here parts.

It's C.O.L.D!
(This after my hardly needing to wear a heavy coat all winter long so far!)

The wind has swept the snow into beautifully carved drifts.

The snow cheers me up and brightens up my world.

And it also makes the cardinals that come to our bird feeders stand out!

I spotted one this morning so I got the long lens out and did the best I could.

So, I'm starting my Cozy@Home Saturday with a bright, beautiful Red Bird beginning.

How about you?
How's your weather?
Have you seen any redbirds lately?

I see some soup simmering on the stove later and something in the oven to bake.  I better get busy!
I also bought some blackberries on sale yesterday and have a batch of jam to make!

Our weather is very cold and snowy, but the sun is shining and it is beautiful.

Fantastic photo of the Cardinal.
Wish we had them here.

Cardinals are such a beautiful bird--I always love it when bloggers post photos of them because we don't have them here.
I did see an eagle the other day though but couldn't get his photo!

In the Pacific NW we have been having a mixture of colder and wetter days that followed a period of sunny ones! Chances are getting lower for anymore snow here as we draw closer to mid February, so it makes me love everyone's snow photos even more:)

I really love cardinals, and these photos show them off so beautifully! The weather here in our part of North Carolina, north central rural Granville County, is getting cold. The western winds are bringing temperatures in the high twenties tonight, only up to the low forties for tomorrow. We still haven't had any snow, for which I am grateful. Your cooking plans sound delightful! We're having our son and his wife and grandbaby over for supper tonight. My house smells like roast beef right now. I made a pineapple upside-down cake for dessert. Ah,the simple, blessed life here on the farm.

All of them are beautiful photos; we're having winter this weekend. Lots of snow, high winds and staying inside except to feed the livestock and barn cats.
Stay warm!

Lovely photos. We have lots of cardinals, but I cannot capture them as you have. Here in south Texas the weather is fine.
