False Victim: A Book Recommendation!

I'm reviewing a book today, written by our bloggin' bloggy blogger friend, Kathie of Hillbilly Debutante fame.

The book Kathie wrote is called "FALSE VICTIM".

This book is not pleasant to read; it's actually quite uncomfortable, it will almost certainly make you squirm. You will cringe as you realize that all the signs were there, that they were shrugged off, and with extremely life-altering results, affecting Kathie's whole family.

You won't be able to put the book down and if you're like me, you will finish it in short order.

Kathie was a professional woman with a family and a husband who was also a professional who worked in Washington, D.C. The family moves into a neighborhood that seemed to be a little Mayberry, but she soon found out that things weren't exactly as they seemed.

Her friendly nature and bubbly personality rubbed one neighbor the wrong way, and this friend turned into an enemy and began a long nightmare for Kathie and her family.

You will also learn about something you probably never knew existed: False Victim Syndrome.

Not many people know about it--and to Kathie's chagrin, she's one of the first to be able to tell her story about surviving this nightmarish experience.

See, the person who is the false victim accuses their target (which in this case, sadly, was Kathie!) of all manner of wrong doing, and it escalates into a full-blown strategic standoff and battle of wills and soon involved law enforcement, serious charges and court cases.

The whole family was at risk and you will not want to miss a chance to learn what happened and the outcome. It may even save you from similar circumstances, or at least show you what a true friend really DOESN'T do to you and your family.

This story is written in novel form, and I dare you not to read it all in one or two sittings! It's a novel written by Kathie, based on her very own true story.

Kathie has been on a book tour lately, and she might be coming to a city near you, soon!

If you'd like, you can connect with Kathie through her blog "Hillbilly Debutante" here.

Read the Amazon description of the book and order it through this link.

I am so proud of Kathie for writing this story, and for her determination and hard work, and wish her much success: she's alreadsy sold the movie rights to Lifetime and has been in a documentary about the false victim syndrome recently. The fun thing is, all of her blog followers have been able to tag along and watch and learn and see all the way through the project, it's quite interesting and exciting to see!

Personally, now that I've read the book, I cannot wait to see that movie on the Lifetime channel!

I know she'd never want her worst enemy to go through this,
but I am so glad she lived to tell the story and her family is still intact through all of it.

After you've visited, Amazon, skip on over to Kathie's blog, you'll love getting to know this sweet, sassy lady.
